An interesting dialogue took place between a member of Mahmut Efendi's congregation and a citizen who went to Ordu to deliver a message. The congregation member said, "We are just reminding people to pray and telling them to love each other." In response, the citizen expressed their dissatisfaction, saying, "You have alienated people from prayer, you have divided the religion, the members of the congregation have destroyed my home and taken my child away from me."
The members of Mahmut Efendi Community, who went from Istanbul to Ordu for preaching, encountered an unexpected reaction from the citizens. The community members, who said that they had no material or political expectations, stated that they advised prayer and love, but they were subjected to the words of the citizen saying "You have alienated people from prayer, you have divided religion."
"JUST REMINDING PRAYER"
The community members who came from Istanbul to Ordu to preach explained their purpose to a citizen they encountered on a street by saying "We are just reminding prayer, we are saying let's love each other." The citizen who started to speak showed his reaction to those who tried to preach with an increasingly loud voice.
"THE COMMUNITY MEMBERS DISRUPTED MY HOME"
In his words full of reaction, the citizen said "You have alienated people from prayer, you have divided religion, you have created the community-sect. What do you want from this nation? Is there any other religion besides Islam? Go away from here. The community members disrupted my home, they took my child away from me."
At the end of his words, the citizen cursed saying "Go f*** away from here." while the community members responded to the encountered reaction by saying "Greetings" and walked away.
