Upon the instruction of Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu, comprehensive inspections have been initiated in public hospitals. The inspections will focus on areas such as emergency medical services, outpatient services, patient rights, operating rooms, intensive care, and central sterilization services, with the aim of improving the quality of healthcare services. The implementation has started in 7 selected pilot provinces.

STARTED IN 7 PILOT PROVINCES

In a written statement from the ministry, it was noted that comprehensive inspections in public hospitals have been initiated under the instruction of Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu, within the framework of the Presidential directive regarding the regular and effective execution of inspection activities. "The Ministry's Inspection Board has updated the inspection guide to make the inspection processes more effective. In this regard, 7 pilot provinces have been selected, and inspections have begun under the new inspection guide. Inspections will focus on critical and high-risk areas such as emergency health services, outpatient services, patient rights, operating rooms, intensive care, and central sterilization services. These critical units will be prioritized for inspection, and the operation of hospitals will be meticulously examined," it was stated.

SCIENTIFIC COMMISSIONS WILL BE ESTABLISHED IN 20 BRANCHES

In the statement, it was mentioned that scientists have also been involved in the inspection process, stating, "After the Newborn Inspection and Evaluation Scientific Commission, scientific commissions will be established in 20 different branches to quickly determine clinical guidelines and inspection manuals that will enhance the quality of health services. The commissions will evaluate the inspection results from a scientific perspective and take necessary steps. The Ministry of Health plans to conduct comprehensive inspections in all health facilities in the upcoming period after adapting the updated inspection guide to the inspection mechanism in the pilot provinces. These steps aim to maximize the quality and safety of health services across the country," it was expressed.
