Ahmet Hamidi, a Council of State examining judge, was found shot in the head in a hotel room in the Artuklu district of Mardin. He passed away after a 13-day treatment process.

Ahmet Hamidi (42), a Council of State Rapporteur Judge found shot in the head in his hotel room in the Artuklu district of Mardin, passed away 13 days later in the hospital where he was being treated.

Gunshots were heard from the hotel room where Council of State Rapporteur Judge Ahmet Hamidi was staying during the holiday in Mardin, in a hotel located in the Artuklu district of Mardin.

Upon this, hotel staff entered the room and found Hamidi covered in blood. Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The teams determined that Hamidi had been seriously injured by a gunshot to the head. After the first intervention, Hamidi was taken to Mardin Training and Research Hospital, then transferred to Gaziantep, and from there to Ankara for treatment.

LOST HIS 13-DAY FIGHT FOR LIFE

Despite all the interventions by doctors in the hospital where he was treated, Hamidi passed away in the evening hours. While the investigation into the incident is ongoing, it has been learned that Hamidi's funeral will be held in his hometown, Batman.
