Fenerbahçe Sports Club announced that it has initiated legal proceedings against false accusations and slanders spreading on social media.
The Fenerbahçe Sports Club has taken action against "systematic and organized" false claims circulated on social media.
CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST FALSE ACCUSATIONS AND SLANDERS
In a statement made by the yellow-blue club, it was said, "Legal processes have been initiated regarding the false accusations and slanders that have been systematically brought to the agenda; criminal complaints have begun to be filed against the relevant individuals and accounts. The process regarding these individuals, who harm our club, will be carried out with determination."
Here is Fenerbahçe's statement:
"We are carefully monitoring the false claims, distorted information, and organized manipulation attempts that have been systematically circulated on social media platforms recently. Legal processes have been initiated regarding the false accusations and slanders that have been organized and brought to the agenda as if prepared by a single entity; criminal complaints have begun to be filed against the relevant individuals and accounts. The process regarding these individuals, who harm our club, will be carried out with determination.
As the Fenerbahçe Board of Directors, we are aware that the decisions made and steps taken in a sporting sense are open to interpretation and can be criticized when necessary. Every comment and criticism shared sincerely by our members and fans is invaluable and essential for us. In this regard, we always make our own evaluations and self-criticisms. We feel and understand the emotions created by the recent consecutive field results of our football team with our community in the strongest way. We also bear the responsibility for this. We never shy away from addressing every issue that needs to be discussed in the correct context and openly. However, it is clear how unhealthy and damaging the atmosphere created by manipulative content that emerges from a single center, brought to the agenda through anonymous fake accounts, and coordinatedly conveyed to the public by certain individuals through various media outlets is for our Fenerbahçe."
''THERE IS NO RESPONSE TO ANY ATTEMPT TO AFFECT OUR COMMUNITY''
While it is requested that congress members and fans be more cautious than ever against claims, slanders, and manipulations that have no source or basis, it was stated, "There is no response in Fenerbahçe to any attempt to direct the agenda with lies, falsehoods, and slanders attempted to be implemented through social media; it is clear that these methods will not yield results. The agenda of Fenerbahçe is determined not by perceptions attempted to be created in different media, but by the realities of our club and the will of our community. All topics related to our club's agenda will be comprehensively addressed at our High Advisory Board Meeting to be held in April."
