The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the corruption incident that occurred at the Yunus Emre Institute following a complaint from the General Directorate of Foundations.

A new development has occurred in the corruption case at the Yunus Emre Institute.

AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED

It has been learned that an investigation has been initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding financial matters upon the complaint of the General Directorate of Foundations.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In June, relevant foundation personnel, including the former President Şeref Ateş, were dismissed. In July, an inspection process was initiated. Throughout the process, vice presidents also voluntarily resigned from their positions on various dates. On December 23, a criminal complaint was filed based on the findings obtained from the inspection.
