After the annulment decision, Özgür Özel, who was elected as the CHP Group Chair in the parliamentary election, responded to a message sent by CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu to MPs, stating, "The date has not been set, no group meeting will be held without my instruction." Özel said, "We have renewed the group chairmanship election as a precaution. Since Kemal Bey is not an MP, he cannot be group chair. I have no intention of resigning from the group chairmanship. If something happens to me, they will elect a new one in my place."
Following CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's instruction to MPs that "no group meeting shall be held without my order," a clear response came from CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel. Stating that they have temporarily renewed the group chairmanship election after the court's absolute nullity decision, Özel declared that he has no intention of resigning from his position.

Reminding that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu cannot legally be the group chairman because he is not an MP, Özgür Özel emphasized the will of the parliamentary group. In his statement regarding the authority disputes within the party, Özel said, "I have no intention of resigning from the group chairmanship. If something happens to me, they will elect a new one in my place," challenging the party headquarters.
"KILIÇDAROĞLU CANNOT BE GROUP CHAIRMAN AS HE IS NOT AN MP"
Özel stated the following: "We have temporarily renewed the group chairmanship election. Since Kemal is not an MP, it is not possible for him to be group chairman. The nullity decision does not take away my mandate. There can be no hierarchy dispute between the chairman and the group chairman. One manages the party, the other manages the group."
In an official letter sent to CHP MPs, Kılıçdaroğlu announced that the date for the TBMM CHP Group General Assembly meeting has not yet been determined and that the meeting will not be held without his instruction.
KILIÇDAROĞLU: IT WILL NOT BE HELD WITHOUT MY ORDER
The letter sent to MPs included the following statements: "It has been understood that questions and uncertainties have arisen among group members regarding the date on which the TBMM CHP Group General Assembly will be held. Therefore, I would like you to know that the date for the TBMM CHP Group General Assembly meeting has not yet been determined by me. Once the meeting date is set, necessary notifications will be made to you. The TBMM CHP Group General Assembly will not be held until the required notifications are made as per my instruction."
NEW MOVE AGAINST ÖZGÜR ÖZEL
Kılıçdaroğlu's move has reignited debates over group management within CHP. Previously, Kılıçdaroğlu had argued that the meeting in which Özgür Özel was elected as CHP Group Chairman was invalid and had applied to the TBMM Presidency. The application claimed that Özel could not use the title "Group Chairman." In party circles, comments are being made that Kılıçdaroğlu wants to reshape the parliamentary group.
HE HAD SAID "I WILL CONDUCT THE GROUP MEETINGS UNTIL THE CONVENTION"
Özgür Özel, whose chairmanship ended with the absolute nullity decision in CHP, said in his statement about group meetings, "I am the elected Chairman of the party. The group meetings we hold on Tuesdays are chaired by the group chairman. I do not expect Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu to attend the group meeting. I don't think he would want to anyway. I will certainly conduct the group meetings."
