President Erdogan spoke at the "955th Anniversary of the Conquest of Anatolia, Malazgirt 1071 Commemoration Program" in Malazgirt. Stating that they are ready for an irreversible and definitive struggle, Erdogan said, "We have tied our horse's tail to make the geography we are in a land of peace and well-being once again."
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke at the '955th Year Conquest of Anatolia Malazgirt 1071 Commemoration Program' at the Malazgirt Battlefield Historical National Park in Mus.
Stating, "We commemorate the ancestors who opened the doors of this homeland to us at Malazgirt," President Erdogan said, "We are a nation in love with its independence, who defended this paradise homeland, which we made our eternal home at Malazgirt, against invaders 850 years later at the cost of our lives, giving and taking lives for this cause."
"WE DO NOT BOW TO ANYONE WHEN IT COMES TO OUR HOMELAND"
Erdogan said, "When necessary, we sacrifice everything, but when it comes to our homeland, the future of our state and our nation, we do not bow to anyone. From now on, with our heads held high and our brows clear, with a heart of steel, we will continue to exist here and live freely on these lands until the end of time."
"WE HAVE TIED OUR HORSE'S TAIL"
Also addressing the terrorism-free Turkey process, Erdogan spoke as follows:
"We put our bodies on the line. We do not live in a thornless rose garden geographically. In this geography, we have no choice but to be strong and united. We have tied our horse's tail to achieve our goals of a terrorism-free Turkey and a terrorism-free region. We have tied our horse's tail to make this geography we are in a land of peace and well-being once again.
Let friends and foes alike know and understand that history is being rewritten in our region. Turkey, with its conscientious, principled, and peaceful policies, is shaping history. Those who think they can stop Turkey's blessed march with provocations and traps are doomed to disappointment. We will not be led down different paths by anyone's provocations."
