U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced a defense agreement with Armenia in Yerevan that includes a $11 million drone sale; Pashinyan stated that the cooperation would strengthen defense, while the two countries also reached an agreement in the field of nuclear energy.
U.S. Vice President James David Vance met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, during his official visit. After the meeting, the two leaders held a joint press conference.
$11 MILLION DRONE SALE
JD Vance announced that they have made a defense agreement for the sale of V-BAT type surveillance drones worth $11 million to Armenia. Vance stated that the drones being sold would be used for Armenia's security and said that this agreement would also create new business and investment opportunities for the U.S. defense technology sector. Photos were shared during the meeting showing Pashinyan and Vance examining the drone together.

Touching on the peace process with Azerbaijan, Vance emphasized that peace would be possible with leaders focused on the future rather than the past. Vance said, "Prime Minister Pashinyan has established a very good relationship with both me and U.S. President Donald Trump. We are building common prosperity not just for Armenia, but for both Armenia and the U.S."
