The MHP made a critical statement that could also affect the ongoing resolution process in Turkey regarding developments in Syria. MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız stated, "The leader of the SDG terrorist organization, supported by the US and Israel, Mazlum Abdi, is occupying almost one-third of Syria. This situation poses a serious threat and danger to the region. The deadline given to the SDG to comply with the March 10 agreement has expired."

MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız stated that the deadline given for the integration of the terrorist organization PKK's Syrian extension SDG/YPG into Damascus has expired.

Emphasizing that one-third of Syria is under the occupation of SDG, Yıldız said, "The deadline given for the PKK's Syrian branch YPG/SDG to comply with the March 10 agreement has expired."

ENERGY RESOURCES UNDER OCCUPATION

Yıldız expressed that SDG holds Syria's most important oil and gas reserves, thus posing an obstacle to Syria's recovery, recalling the warning of National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, stating, "This situation poses a serious threat and danger to the region."

Yıldız continued his remarks on his social media platform X:

The leader of the SDG terrorist organization, supported by the USA and Israel, Mazlum Abdi, is occupying almost one-third of Syria.

On March 10, an 8-article agreement was signed with the Syrian administration for the integration of civilian and military institutions in this region into the central government.

PKK/YPG/SDG controls a vast area in northeastern Syria.

This region has rich oil and gas reserves, the Euphrates and Tigris rivers, as well as strong resources in agriculture and animal production.

The organization's control over these areas poses a serious obstacle to Syria's recovery and development.

Israel aims to increase its influence in the region by constantly creating chaos and instigating wars, while also seeking to depopulate the area.

This is sometimes carried out directly by itself and sometimes through its proxies, namely terrorist organizations.

Initially, it supported the PKK in Syria and facilitated the organization's territorial gains. Then, it incited the Druze to rebel against the Damascus administration.

Going even further, it bombed Damascus, targeting both the presidential palace and the buildings of the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense.

There is still a possibility of carrying out similar attacks in Syria as it did in Gaza.

Israel continuously bombs and strikes Syria; at the same time, it supports rebel groups, trying to open a corridor from Suwayda to the PKK areas in northeastern Syria.

This is referred to as the "David Corridor." By occupying Mount Hermon, it aims to encircle Syria from the south and east and extend from there to Turkey. This situation poses a serious threat and danger to the region.

The deadline given for the PKK's Syrian branch YPG/SDG to comply with the March 10 agreement (by the end of December 2025) has expired.

Emphasizing that SDG must comply with the March 10 Agreement, National Defense Minister Mr. Yaşar Güler stated:

"The stance of our state on this matter is clear, and there is no room for doubt. I would like to remind once again that we will not allow any terrorist organization, especially PKK/YPG/SDG, to continue its activities in the region or to create any fait accompli.

Our ultimate goal is to end terrorism, which is the common wish of our 86 million citizens, and to completely eliminate terrorist organizations."

WHAT IS THE MARCH 10 AGREEMENT?

On March 10, an eight-article integration agreement was signed between the Acting President of Syria, Ahmed Shara, and Mazlum Abdi from SDG. The agreed-upon articles of the agreement were as follows:

"-Guaranteeing the right of all Syrians to participate in the political process and all state institutions based on merit, without religious or ethnic discrimination.

-Recognizing the Kurdish community as an inseparable part of the Syrian state and guaranteeing their citizenship rights and constitutional rights.

-Integrating civilian and military institutions in northeastern Syria, including border crossings, airports, oil, and natural gas fields, into the Syrian state administration.

-Ensuring that all displaced Syrians can return to their cities and villages and are protected by the Syrian state.

-Supporting the Syrian state's struggle against the remnants of the Assad regime and all threats to Syria's security and unity.

-Rejecting calls that create division among all segments of Syrian society, hate speech, and attempts to sow discord.

-Ensuring that the executive committees continue their work to implement the agreement by the end of the year at the latest."
