The DEAŞ operation in Yalova, where three of our police officers were martyred, remains in the spotlight. The uncle of the DEAŞ terrorist Zafer Umutlu, who was killed in the clash, stated, "For us, 'You need to be killed. If the order for jihad comes, you will be the first people I will strike.' Neither I nor my family will take responsibility for this funeral. We will never accept it. If you shoot at my state, my police, then I will not take your body."

After killing 3 of our police officers in a clash in Yalova, the ISIS terrorist Zafer Umutlu, who was killed, had his uncle make striking statements about his nephew to the Yeni Şafak newspaper.

THEY COULDN'T CONVINCE HIM TO SURRENDER

Metin Umutlu, who stated that Zafer Umutlu is his uncle's grandson, said that they wanted to detach his nephew from the organization and that they tried to convince him to surrender on the day of the clash, but they were unsuccessful.

"IF A JIHAD ORDER COMES, I WILL STRIKE YOU FIRST"

The uncle explained that Zafer Umutlu's biological brother went to the organization members and argued, saying, "You led my brother astray." He then stated that his nephew came and threatened them. The uncle noted that Zafer Umutlu declared the family as infidels, saying, "You are infidels, you are tyrants. You need to be killed. If a jihad order comes, I will strike you first." Metin Umutlu also provided information that a severe fight occurred within the family a few months ago, during which his brother and siblings beat Zafer Umutlu.

"WE FILED A COMPLAINT 3 DAYS BEFORE THE CLASH"

The uncle stated that they could not dissuade their nephew, whom they constantly warned to detach from the organization, and that they filed complaints multiple times but did not achieve any results. He said, "My brother and I filed a complaint. I personally told the prosecutors that my nephew is dangerous. The security forces called, but they have no evidence; on what basis will they arrest him? No results were obtained." The uncle expressed that 3 days before the clash, Zafer Umutlu's brother suspected that his brother might carry out an action on New Year's and filed a complaint.

"WE WILL NOT TAKE HIS FUNERAL"

Wishing mercy from Allah for the martyred police officers, Metin Umutlu stated, "The bullets fired at the police also hit us. Our hearts are broken." The uncle explained that he could not understand where his nephew found this courage, where he received weapons training, and where the weapons came from, and announced that the family would not take responsibility for the funeral: "Neither I nor my family will take responsibility for this funeral. We will never take it. If you shoot bullets at my state and my police, I will not take your funeral."
