After the absolute nullity decision in CHP, Özgür Özel will submit the founding petition for the 'New Party' to the Ministry of Interior on Monday, July 27. At least 70 members of parliament are expected to join the planned new party. Meanwhile, before the founding process, Özgür Özel is expected to take the podium for the last time as the CHP Group Chairman at tomorrow's CHP Group Meeting.
Following the absolute nullity decision regarding CHP, CHP Group Leader Özgür Özel, who prepared the new roadmap, is taking the first concrete step of his previously stated words, "We will either find a way or make a way," on Monday, July 27. The founding petition of the party to be established under Özel's leadership will be submitted to the Ministry of Interior on Monday.
DATE SET FOR FOUNDING PETITION
The absolute nullity decision by the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice, concerning the annulment of CHP's 38th Congress and the party management, reached the Court of Cassation on Friday, July 17, 56 days after it was made. Since the Court of Cassation did not review the file before the judicial recess starting today, the efforts of CHP Group Leader Özgür Özel and the deputies supporting him for a new party have become clear as of today. The first concrete step of Özel's words, "We will either find a way or make a way," will be taken on Monday, July 27. According to information obtained, the founding petition of the party to be established under Özel's leadership will be submitted to the Ministry of Interior on Monday.
It has been learned that the party's name will be "Yeni Parti" (New Party), and the Board of Founders, which will be involved in the founding process, will predominantly consist of deputies.
ÖZEL WILL SPEAK FOR THE LAST TIME AT THE CHP GROUP MEETING TOMORROW
Before the founding process, Özgür Özel is expected to take the podium for the last time as CHP Group Leader at the CHP Group Meeting tomorrow. Özel is anticipated to evaluate the process following the absolute nullity decision in his speech and deliver messages regarding the new period.
In his statements after the absolute nullity decision, Özel, indicating they would continue the struggle, signaled the party's establishment by saying, "We will either make a way or find a way." Party sources assess that with the submission of the founding petition, this rhetoric will be politically realized.
A SERIES OF MEETINGS WILL BE HELD
Özel is also expected to hold a series of meetings this week for the new party. After the weekly group meeting on Tuesday, July 21, Özel will meet with elected CHP provincial heads; on Wednesday, July 22, he will chair the PM and MYK meetings. Özel is also expected to meet with the party's deputies this week.
AT LEAST 70 DEPUTIES ARE EXPECTED TO JOIN
Following the establishment of the new party, a large-scale transition process will take place in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. It is stated that at least 70 deputies are expected to join the new party in the first phase.
After the founding processes are completed, the calendar regarding the formation of the party administration and parliamentary group will also be shared with the public.
