"Defense of religion, state, and flag from the company that fed citizens pork."

07.10.2024 13:00

The defense made by the company Saydamlar Catering, which was found to have pork in its meatballs, through the flags, religion, and state has drawn significant backlash. In the statement, it was said, "We believe that we are known by the entire Düzce community as people who love our homeland and flag, are sensitive about employment, pay taxes to the state, and are aware of the religious and worldly sensitivities of our families."

In Düzce, pork meat was detected in the roast meatballs prepared by the company named Saydamlar Organizasyon Turizm, which provides catering services. The company's statement, which also serves meals to students in KYK dormitories, added another dimension to the scandal.

"UNFAIR AND UNJUST RESULTS"

In a statement from the company owned by Murat Saydam, who previously served as the Deputy Chairman of the AK Party Düzce Provincial Organization, it was stated, "Despite all products delivered by our company during the relevant detection period and dates with the same menu testing positive and clean, and all components of the menu products being separately examined, reported, and found to have no negative results by independent testing organizations and the Ministry of Agriculture's testing units, the decision made based on just one sample is producing unfair and unjust results."

"COMMERCIAL REPUTATION ASSASSINATION"

Company officials, who stated that they have been providing services in Düzce and its surroundings for nearly 40 years, said, "By causing our company, which fulfills its obligations without fail, to suffer an irreparable commercial reputation assassination and damage, this situation does not comply with the measures of scientific conscience and fairness."
