As reactions to the attack on the Turkish flag by supporters of terrorist organizations at the Syrian border grow like an avalanche, a statement has also come from the DEM Party. DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan stated in a social media post, "Our party has no issue with the flag. We do not accept disrespect towards the flag, which is a common value of society."

After the operations of the Syrian army, the DEM Party held its parliamentary group meeting in Nusaybin following the ceasefire agreement reached between the Damascus administration and the terrorist organization YPG/SDG.

After the meeting, a group wanting to protest the Syrian army's operations against the YPG terrorist organization marched towards the border. The group, which wanted to cross to the other side of the border, targeted the Turkish flag and took it down from the pole.
