The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has decided to demolish certain buildings that have been identified as having illegal floors, renovations, extensions, and constructions in the Bosphorus. Among the structures slated for demolition are famous places such as Bebek Hotel, Mandarin Hotel, and Baylan Patisserie.

The Monuments Board and the Bosphorus Planning Directorate detected illegal renovations, extensions, and constructions in some buildings located in the Istanbul Bosphorus.

ILLEGAL FLOORS DETECTED

Especially along the Bebek-Arnavutköy line, illegal floors, unauthorized terraces, and roof openings were detected in many establishments. These findings were recorded with expert reports and minutes. The illegal constructions were later brought to the agenda of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. The reports and minutes were examined.

DEMOLITION DECISION MADE

According to a report by Öznur Karslı from Habertürk, a demolition decision was made regarding these illegal structures in the Bosphorus, based on the evaluations, reports, and findings of the Monuments Board, with the decision of the IMM council. Among the structures decided to be demolished are famous hotels and venues.
