Following the latest report of the European Parliament on Turkey, claims that 'the right to visa-free travel with a green passport has been abolished,' circulated on social media, sparked debate in the public. The Presidency's Directorate of Communications, Center for Combating Disinformation, issued a statement on the matter, noting that these posts do not reflect the truth and announced that there is no change in the current visa-free travel rights of green passport holders.

The Presidential Directorate of Communications' Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) announced that claims regarding the end of visa-free travel rights for green passport holders based on the European Parliament's Turkey report are not true.

In a statement on the claims circulated on social media that "the era of visa-free travel to Europe with a green passport has ended," the Presidential Directorate of Communications' Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) declared that such news is unfounded. The DMM stated that the European Parliament's Turkey report does not contain any decision restricting the current rights of special passport holders.

In a statement from the DMM's social media account, it was expressed that claims shared by some accounts that "the era of travel with a green passport is over" are completely false.
