In the Konak district of Izmir, 68-year-old Hüseyin Deniz, who suffered a heart attack while driving, managed to stop only after his out-of-control vehicle crashed into two parked cars. The unfortunate man, who was known to have heart disease and had previously undergone bypass surgery, lost his battle for life at the hospital.
A horrific accident occurred in the evening hours on İnönü Street in the Konak district of İzmir. While 68-year-old Hüseyin Deniz, traveling from the Balçova direction toward Konak, was behind the wheel of his car with license plate 45 SC 2487, he suddenly became ill.
MANAGED TO STOP BY HITTING PARKED VEHICLES
The car, which veered off course after Deniz lost control of the steering wheel, managed to stop by hitting two parked vehicles on the roadside. Nearby citizens who witnessed the accident immediately notified the police and medical teams. Upon the report, 112 Emergency Health teams arriving at the scene determined that Hüseyin Deniz, lying motionless in the driver's seat, had suffered a heart attack during the accident.
HAD PREVIOUSLY UNDERGONE BYPASS SURGERY
After initial intervention at the scene, the unfortunate driver was taken by ambulance to İzmir Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, where he could not survive despite all medical efforts. In the investigation launched following the sad news, it was learned that the deceased driver had a history of heart disease and had previously undergone angioplasty and bypass operations. Traffic on İnönü Street, which came to a standstill for a while due to the accident, returned to normal after the vehicles were removed with the help of a tow truck.
