The bodies of three siblings aged 4, 5, and 12, who died when the car they were in plunged into an irrigation canal in Karaman, were brought to their hometown of Şanlıurfa. At the funeral in Siverek district, where tears flowed like a flood, the unfortunate siblings were laid to rest in side-by-side graves. The treatment of the mother, father, and the other two children at the hospital continues.
The three children of the İzol family, who lost their lives in a terrible traffic accident in Karaman, were laid to rest in their hometown of Siverek, Şanlıurfa, amid tears. The burial of the young siblings side by side broke hearts.
CAR FELL INTO IRRIGATION CANAL
The horrific accident, which occurred last evening near the village of Kızık in central Karaman, struck the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa like a hot iron. The car with license plate 63 EA 265, driven by M.İ., lost control of the steering wheel while crossing a bridge, veered off, and rolled into an irrigation canal on the roadside.
MOTHER AND FATHER RESCUED, TRAGIC NEWS OF 3 CHILDREN
Upon notification by nearby residents who witnessed the accident, the area was put on high alert. Numerous health, fire, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. Through the intense efforts of citizens and rescue teams, the mother, father, and two children in the car were successfully rescued alive from the current. However, it was determined that siblings Mehmet Mustafa (4), Ramazan (12), and Mehmet Sinan İzol (5), who were trapped in the vehicle, died at the scene. The surviving injured family members were taken by ambulance to Karaman Training and Research Hospital for treatment.
THEY WERE BURIED SIDE BY SIDE IN THEIR HOMETOWN
After autopsies were completed, the bodies of the three siblings were sent to their hometown of Siverek, Şanlıurfa, for burial. Relatives and local residents who attended the funeral prayer held in the afternoon at the Kesmekaya neighborhood in Siverek were overwhelmed with tears. The siblings, aged 4, 5, and 12, were laid to rest in graves dug side by side, accompanied by laments in Kurdish and Turkish.
It was reported that the condition of the mother and father, who are still undergoing treatment in the hospital, is being monitored, and a comprehensive investigation into the accident continues.
