"PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE DISREGARDED"
Criticizing the party administration, Keleş said, 'I regretfully observe that the administrators of the Republican People's Party, appointed by court decision, act with an understanding that disregards even the most basic and fundamental legal principle, the presumption of innocence.'
At the end of his statement, he announced his resignation with these words:
'Under these circumstances, due to my belief and commitment to democracy and the rule of law, I am parting ways with the Republican People's Party, to which I have devoted years.'
