The police statement of Cengiz Yıldız, who was detained after Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım filed a criminal complaint over posts targeting himself and his daughter and who is claimed to be the owner of the account "profdraleks," has emerged. While Yıldız admitted to making some of the controversial posts, he claimed they were "for humor, jokes, and conversation" and denied the accusations against him.
Following the criminal complaint filed by Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım regarding certain anonymous accounts, a new development has occurred in the investigation launched by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
HIS STATEMENT HAS SURFACED
The statement given to the police by Cengiz Yıldız, who was detained within the scope of the investigation and is alleged to be the owner of the account with the username "profdraleks" on X, has emerged. According to Burak Doğan's report, while Yıldız did not accept the accusations against him, he confirmed that some posts that were the subject of controversy belonged to him. Yıldız claimed that the statements in question did not carry the intent of threat or insult.
STATEMENTS ABOUT AZIZ YILDIRIM'S DAUGHTER HAD CAUSED REACTION
Before the investigation, statements made about Aziz Yıldırım's daughter had surfaced in a private chat group named "2027 Hakan Safi," which Yıldız was said to be a part of. Aziz Yıldırım had also filed a criminal complaint with the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, stating that not only he but also his daughter had been targeted.
In his statement, Yıldız, however, claimed that a post he made regarding Aziz Yıldırım's family came up during the chat and that he wrote it to remind of an event that had occurred in the past.
"FOR HUMOR AND JOKE PURPOSES"
Cengiz Yıldız was also asked about his response to another user's post regarding the death of Aziz Yıldırım. Yıldız claimed that his statements in this post were "for humor and joke purposes." Stating that he was making references to some past discussions in the Fenerbahçe community, Yıldız argued that he had no threatening intent.
Also speaking about his correspondence with other accounts, Yıldız said he used some expressions during chats among friends.
SPOKE ABOUT THE PRIVATE GROUP
In his statement, Yıldız also provided information about the private X group named "2027 Hakan Safi." Stating that the group, which has approximately 12-13 members, was not founded by him, Yıldız said he did not remember whose invitation he joined the group with. He claimed that the purpose of the group was to discuss developments related to Fenerbahçe and exchange ideas.
"I DO NOT ACCEPT THE ACCUSATIONS"
Cengiz Yıldız, in the rest of his statement, rejected the accusations against him, saying that he also has children. Arguing that, as a Fenerbahçe supporter, he sees Aziz Yıldırım's daughter like his own daughter, Yıldız said, "I cannot accept such an accusation."
AZIZ YILDIRIM: WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM MY DAUGHTER?
Aziz Yıldırım had filed a criminal complaint with the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, stating that some accounts were targeting him and his daughter.
In the petition of complaint, it was alleged that some posts using his daughter's photo contained expressions of insult, threat, and violations of privacy. Reacting to the issue at the meeting of the Fenerbahçe High Council in August, Yıldırım had used the expressions, "You can criticize me. You can say whatever you want without insulting me. But what do you want from my daughter?"
