FOUND DEAD AT A CONSTRUCTION SITE IN 2018

Dorukhan Büyükışık, son of retired Lieutenant General Ethem Büyükışık, was found dead at a construction site in Narlıdere, İzmir in 2018. His death was recorded as a fall from height.

Thanks to the efforts of Dorukhan's father, retired Lieutenant General Ethem Büyükışık, a lawsuit was filed against 8 police officers involved in the incident.

It was determined that the police officers did not properly examine the relevant camera footage despite the prosecutor's instructions, did not secure a copy, did not fully review the active cameras, and failed to collect evidence properly.

As part of the investigation conducted by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a lawsuit was filed in February against four construction site guards and one construction worker on charges of intentional homicide.
