A fire that broke out in a nursing home in Düzce's Kaynaşlı district, where 53 citizens were staying, was extinguished by firefighting teams. After the fire, bedridden citizens at the nursing home were transported to the hospital by ambulances. The fire occurred around 01:00 at the Kızılay Akcakoca Nursing Home and Elderly Care Center in the Kaynaşlı district. Upon staff noticing smoke spreading from the system room on the top floor of the 4-story building, numerous health, fire, AFAD, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The 53 citizens staying at the nursing home were evacuated.
BEDRIDDEN CITIZENS WERE REMOVED FROM THE BUILDING WITH THEIR BEDS
The bedridden citizens at the nursing home were also removed from the building with their beds. The bedridden citizens were transported to Kaynaşlı State Hospital by ambulances that arrived at the scene. The other citizens staying at the nursing home were placed in the guesthouse belonging to the Highways Directorate to spend the night. An investigation has been initiated into the fire, which was extinguished by the intervention of firefighting teams.
