Dilan Polat, who has been in prison for a long time, injured herself after having a nervous breakdown in recent days. Learning that Polat had cuts and bruises on her body, her lawyers requested her release. However, the request for Polat was rejected. Following the developments, Polat's lawyers made another request for her release. The Anatolian Republic Prosecutor's Office also decided to refer Dilan Polat to the Forensic Medicine Institute. Dilan Polat, who is detained in Marmara Prison, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute in Yenibosna by gendarmerie teams last week and underwent a 1.5-hour examination. The report from the Forensic Medicine Institute reached the Bakırköy Republic Prosecutor's Office. According to the report, it was decided that Dilan Polat would receive treatment at Bakırköy Mental and Nervous Diseases Hospital for 3 months.
WHAT HAPPENED?
As part of the investigation conducted by the Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Bureau of the Anatolian Republic Prosecutor's Office, 12 suspects, including Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, were arrested and sent to Marmara Prison on November 5, 2023. Dilan Polat, who has been in prison for 6 months, was the subject of several investigations, including the shooting of Banu Parlak's workplace and the fights with her neighbors.
On April 19, a release decision was made for Dilan Polat on the charge of tax evasion within the scope of the first investigation opened against the Polat Family for money laundering, but their detention was continued for the other 3 charges.
