THE TAXI DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING
In the Kurtköy area of Pendik district in Istanbul, around 6:00 AM, a commercial taxi with the license plate 34 TDE 80, which was heading towards Ankara on the TEM Highway, veered off the road after the driver lost control of the steering. Those inside the vehicle were trapped due to the severity of the crash, and numerous fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification.
3 PEOPLE DIED AT THE SCENE
Initial checks by the medical teams that quickly arrived at the scene revealed that 3 people in the vehicle had died at the scene. 1 person who survived the crash with injuries was transported to the hospital by ambulance after the intervention of the medical teams. The bodies removed from the vehicle by the fire department were taken to the forensic medicine morgue after examinations. Due to the accident, traffic congestion occurred on the TEM Highway towards Ankara, and police teams initiated an investigation related to the incident.
