An unlicensed driver who drank alcohol and dangled his feet out of the window in Bursa fled after ignoring a police stop order. After a chase, the driver was caught and fined a total of 280,000 TL.
In the İnegöl district of Bursa, a driver who stuck his feet out the window of a moving car while drinking alcohol, along with his friend beside him, was caught by plainclothes police when they stopped at a red light. Those moments were captured on camera. The driver, who ignored the 'stop' warning and fled, was caught after a chase, and a total of 280,000 TL fine was imposed on the unlicensed driver and the vehicle owner.
THEY MOVED WHEN STOPPED AT RED LIGHT
The incident occurred on Ahmet Türkel Ring Road. Those who saw the driver of a moving car and the person next to him drinking alcohol and sticking their feet out the window reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, teams from the İnegöl Police Department Traffic Bureau, dispatched to the area, followed the vehicle with license plate 43 NK 434 and moved in when it stopped at a red light.
HE FLED WHILE POLICE WERE BESIDE HIM
The plainclothes police officer approached the vehicle and warned the driver to pull over to the side of the road. However, the driver ignored the warning and sped off. Those moments were recorded by another driver's mobile phone camera.
THEY COULD NOT ESCAPE THE FINE
The driver of the vehicle, stopped after a chase, was fined 200,000 TL for 'failing to obey the stop warning', 40,000 TL for 'driving without a license', and the vehicle owner was fined 40,000 TL for 'allowing an unlicensed person to drive the vehicle', totaling 280,000 TL in administrative fines.
