The Gendarmerie General Command seized 150,000 synthetic drug pills and 1,230 boxes of illegal cancer medication during an operation conducted in Istanbul, while apprehending 6 suspects.

In Istanbul, during operations conducted by the gendarmerie against drug manufacturers, poison traffickers, and enemies of public health, 150,000 synthetic drug pills and 1,230 boxes of illegal cancer medication were seized. Six suspects were arrested.

A LARGE NUMBER OF DRUG PILLS SEIZED

In coordination with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Gendarmerie General Command's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime and Narcotic Crimes Departments, operations were carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams to prevent drug and stimulant trafficking incidents and to capture the materials involved in the crime along with the suspects.

As a result of the operation, it was determined that the suspects endangered the lives and health of our citizens, engaged in the production and trafficking of drugs, and were preparing for the shipment of narcotic substances.

THEY ESTABLISHED A MANUFACTURING FACILITY

During the searches conducted at the mentioned manufacturing facility, 1,230 boxes of illegal cancer medication, 150,000 synthetic drug pills, 25 kg of Pregabalin (raw material that could produce 655,000 drug pills), 2 precision scales, 5,000 empty plastic containers, 1 drug manufacturing facility, and various materials were seized.
