Two people were detained in drug operations conducted in Istanbul. A total of 1 million 252 thousand drug pills and other materials were seized during the searches.
The Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crime Investigation Branch and Intelligence Branch teams have initiated work to identify and capture those involved in drug trafficking in the city. Operations were carried out at the addresses identified during the investigations. Operations were conducted at 2 addresses and 2 vehicles located in Zeytinburnu and Güngören. Two individuals were detained during the operations. Istanbul Police Chief Selami Yıldız conducted inspections at the addresses where operations were carried out.
1 MILLION 252 THOUSAND DRUG PILLS
During the searches at the addresses and vehicles, 517 kilograms and 800 grams of additives, 1 million 800 thousand ready-to-fill empty capsules and medicine boxes, 5 machines used in pill production, and 1 million 252 thousand synthetic pills containing active drug substances were seized. It is expected that the 2 suspects who were detained will be referred to the courthouse after their processing.
