A funeral ceremony was held in Akçakoca district of Düzce, the hometown of police officer Turgut Külünk, who was martyred in the clash during the operation against the terrorist organization ISIS in Yalova.

The martyr's body, wrapped in the Turkish flag, was placed in the courtyard of Akçakoca Central Mosque after the necessary procedures. During the ceremony held here, the martyr's father Aydın, mother Kevser, wife Dilek, and daughter Eslem Külünk, along with his siblings and relatives, received condolences. Family members shed tears at the head of the martyr's coffin.
HEART-WRENCHING WORDS FROM HIS SIBLING
The martyr's sibling, embracing his brother's coffin, could not hold back tears, saying, "Wait for us there, brother." In the courtyard of the mosque, where emotional moments were experienced, family members and protocol officials comforted the martyr's relatives.
The ceremony was attended by the martyr's family and relatives, as well as Deputy Interior Ministers Münir Karaloğlu and Bülent Turan, General Director of Security Mehmet Aktaş, Düzce Governor Selçuk Aslan, Düzce Mayor Faruk Özlü, members of parliament, representatives of political parties, colleagues, and many citizens.
BURIED IN KAPKİRLİ CEMETERY
After the permission was obtained from the Provincial Mufti Osman Aydın and the funeral prayer was performed, the police carried the martyr's coffin, wrapped in the Turkish flag, on their shoulders to the funeral vehicle. The body of martyr Turgut Külünk was buried in the family graveyard at Kapkirli Cemetery.
