A major wave of resignations occurred in CHP Istanbul. Besides Özgür Çelik, whom the CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's administration dismissed and referred to the disciplinary board with a demand for expulsion, 39 provincial administrators and 36 district chairs resigned from the party. The resigning individuals are expected to join the New Party established by Özgür Özel.
In CHP Istanbul, Özgür Çelik, who left the provincial chairmanship after Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu returned to the general leadership, resigned along with 39 provincial administrators and 36 district chairmen in Istanbul.
MAJOR SPLIT IN CHP ISTANBUL
While the repercussions of Özgür Özel resigning from CHP together with 90 parliamentarians and forming the New Party continue, defections from CHP persist. After Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu returned to the general leadership following the court's absolute nullity decision, Özgür Çelik, one of the names removed from the Istanbul Provincial Chairmanship and referred to the disciplinary board for expulsion, made the expected move.
THEY RESIGNED FROM CHP
Özgür Çelik resigned from CHP. Along with Çelik, 39 provincial administrators and 36 district chairmen also parted ways with CHP. The resigning individuals are expected to collectively join the New Party.
Meanwhile, the day before yesterday, Özel, who for the first time announced clear figures regarding local administrators who would don the party pin, declared that a massive wave of participation would begin across Turkey.
OVER 200 MUNICIPALITIES JOIN THE NEW PARTY
Announcing that a major participation process would start from tomorrow, Özgür Özel explained the will of mayors across Turkey to join the party with these words: "From tomorrow onwards, over 200 municipalities will express their will to join the New Party."
