In the indictment prepared against a woman who was arrested for allegedly stabbing her aunt to death and then setting the house on fire to destroy evidence in the Süleymanpaşa district of Tekirdağ, striking details emerged. The indictment stated that before the incident, the suspect conducted searches via artificial intelligence such as 'ways to kill a person without leaving a trace,' 'does a knife in the abdomen kill quickly?' and 'forensic medicine lecture notes.'
An indictment has been prepared for İnci Çalışkan, who was arrested for allegedly killing her aunt Binnaz Eriş (70) in Tekirdağ. The indictment includes that before the murder, Çalışkan used artificial intelligence applications to search for phrases such as 'How to kill someone without leaving a trace?', 'Would hitting the skull cause quicker death?', 'How to dispose of a body?', and 'Would being shot in the skull cause pain?'
BODY FOUND AFTER FIRE
The incident occurred in January 2026 in the Hürriyet neighborhood of Süleymanpaşa district, Tekirdağ. According to information obtained, it was determined that Binnaz Eriş was stabbed to death following a fire that broke out in an apartment. Based on police examination of security camera footage and evidence, it was assessed that the fire was set to destroy evidence after the murder. Eriş's niece İnci Çalışkan and Ö.B. were taken into custody. After processing at the police station, the two suspects were sent to court and subsequently arrested and imprisoned.
In the indictment prepared by the Tekirdağ Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that no signs of forced entry were found at Binnaz Eriş's door. It was stated that cabinets and items in the home were scattered, wallets and bags were rummaged through, and two coffee cups were found, suggesting coffee was consumed at the residence. Security camera recordings showed İnci Çalışkan arriving at the home by taxi, staying inside for a while, and then leaving the address.
BLOODY KNIFE SEIZED AT HER HOME
According to the indictment, a search at İnci Çalışkan's address revealed a bloody knife, a screwdriver, freshly washed laundry, a bloody gauze, along with $340 and €40. Criminal analysis on the seized knife identified blood samples belonging to Binnaz Eriş. Additionally, DNA samples belonging to İnci Çalışkan were found on a white hand towel in Eriş's kitchen. It was also documented that Çalışkan exchanged gold after the incident and made phone calls on the day of the event.
SHE CONSULTED AI ON MURDER METHODS
One of the most striking sections of the indictment involved the suspect's digital records. It was stated that before the incident, İnci Çalışkan used artificial intelligence to search for topics such as 'Pepper spray', 'Does stabbing the stomach kill quickly?', 'Forensic medicine lecture notes', 'Ways to kill without leaving a trace', 'Gold market', and 'Knockout needle'. The fire report prepared by the Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department assessed that the fire was intentionally set. The report noted that the fire was started at separate points in both the bedroom and the living room.
DEMAND FOR AGGRAVATED LIFE IMPRISONMENT
In the prepared indictment, it was requested that İnci Çalışkan be punished for the crimes of 'premeditated murder', 'robbery', and 'damaging property'. The prosecutor's office demanded an aggravated life imprisonment sentence for the crime of premeditated murder.
The first hearing of the case will be held on November 3 at 09:30 in the Tekirdağ 3rd Heavy Penal Court.
