8 PEOPLE KILLED IN CHURCH ATTACK
According to reports in the national press, armed gang members attacked the First Evangelical and St. Augustine Catholic Churches in the Arika region of Kaduna state. The reports indicated that 8 people lost their lives in the attacks, and many others were recorded as kidnapped.
Arika district official Mark Bawa stated that a large number of attackers came to the village and stayed for a long time, adding that efforts were ongoing to find the kidnapped individuals. Nigeria has long been facing armed gangs as well as attacks from Boko Haram and ISWAP in various regions of the country.
