A 69-year-old Palestinian died Monday of his injuries sustained after being run over by an Israeli military vehicle, according to the health ministry.
Suleiman al-Hathaleen was seriously injured on Jan. 5 after he was run over by a military vehicle during an Israeli raid in the town of Umm al-Khair in the southern West Bank.
According to his relatives, the vehicle drove straight into al-Hathaleen while standing on the side of the road.
In a statement, the Health Ministry said al-Hathaleen had succumbed to his wounds at al-Mezan hospital in Hebron.
Al-Hathaleen is considered an icon of Palestinian resistance among his locals as he regularly took part in protests against Israeli attacks in the occupied West Bank.
