Local by-election excitement is taking place today in three of our provinces. While voters go to the polls in six settlements that have gained town status in Tokat, Gümüşhane, and Nevşehir, elections for mukhtars and council of elders are also being held in 362 neighborhoods. Voting will end at 5:00 PM, after which attention will turn to the results.
Ballot boxes were set up today in three provinces of Turkey for local by-elections. Voters in six settlements that gained township status in Tokat, Gümüşhane, and Nevşehir will cast their votes to determine their new local administrators.
IN WHICH TOWNSHIPS WILL THE ELECTIONS BE HELD?
Within the scope of local by-elections, voting will take place in the townships of Yolüstü and Çevrecik in the Reşadiye district of Tokat, Bağtaşı in the Almus district, Kuşçu in the Yeşilyurt district, Tekke in the central district of Gümüşhane, and Mustafapaşa in the Ürgüp district of Nevşehir.
In addition, elections for mukhtars and councils of elders will be held in 362 neighborhoods located in different regions of Turkey.
VOTING BEGAN AT 08:00
Voting in the elections started at 08:00. Voters will be able to cast their votes until 17:00. After the polls close, vote counting processes will begin.
With the election results, mayors and municipal council members will be determined in six townships. In neighborhoods, mukhtars and councils of elders will be elected.
27 POLITICAL PARTIES ARE COMPETING
A total of 27 political parties are participating in the local by-elections to be held in the townships.
The order on the joint ballot was determined by a draw held on April 21. Accordingly, the parties are listed as follows:
Adalet Birlik Partisi, DEVA Partisi, Vatan Partisi, AK Parti, Doğru Yol Partisi, Büyük Birlik Partisi, Saadet Partisi, Yeni Türkiye Partisi, Türkiye Komünist Hareketi, CHP, Yerli ve Milli Parti, Anavatan Partisi, Demokratik Sol Parti, Gelecek Partisi, Teknoloji Kalkınma Partisi, İYİ Parti, Anahtar Parti, Yeniden Refah Partisi, Demokrat Parti, Adalet Partisi, Anadolu Birliği Partisi, Türkiye Komünist Partisi, MHP, Zafer Partisi, Bağımsız Türkiye Partisi, Halkın Kurtuluş Partisi ve Merkez Sağ Parti.
