Akşam newspaper Ankara representative Emin Pazarcı announced that he left the newspaper where he worked following the controversies that started after images of his lawyer daughter's luxury car with flashy lights emerged. Pazarcı, who was reportedly placed on mandatory leave for three months after the incident that drew backlash, shared a farewell message saying, "I parted ways with Akşam Newspaper, shook hands with friends in Ankara. I am a journalist! My pen is in my hand!"

Footage of Begüm Ece Pazarcı, the lawyer daughter of Akşam newspaper's Ankara Representative Emin Pazarcı, filmed in a luxury vehicle, became a trending topic on social media. The shared video showing a flashing light system in the car sparked widespread criticism.

Following the incident, police teams launched an investigation. Inspections revealed that the flashing light system was used without authorization. The vehicle owner was fined 173,392 lira, and the luxury car was banned from traffic for one month.

EMİN PAZARCI'S FIERY RESPONSE

As criticism regarding his daughter grew, Emin Pazarcı also used harsh language on his social media account. In his post, Pazarcı said, "You pack of scoundrels... Are you looking for a car with flashing lights? I have it, not my daughter. But I never used it even once. If anyone proves otherwise, they can kiss my forehead!"

CLAIM: “HE WAS SENT ON COMPULSORY LEAVE FOR THREE MONTHS”

Former AK Party MKYK member Şamil Tayyar claimed on his social media account that Emin Pazarcı was sent on compulsory leave for three months due to the ongoing controversy. Following this development, attention turned to the management of Akşam newspaper, while Pazarcı made a notable statement.

“I SHOOK HANDS WITH COLLEAGUES AND LEFT”

Emin Pazarcı announced in his post that he had left his position at Akşam newspaper. In his statement, Pazarcı said:

"I parted ways by mutual agreement with the Akşam Newspaper and shook hands with colleagues in Ankara. I wish Yusuf Alabarda, appointed as the Ankara Representative, success in his new role. I thank everyone who sent their good wishes."

Also citing journalist Osman Diyadin's words, Pazarcı shared, "A journalist's place is not a chair but a pen," and then said, "I am a journalist! My pen is in my hand!"
