Ankara Metropolitan Municipality denied the claims that the increasing complaints of diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea across the city stem from the network water. ABB stated that the analyses conducted on a 24/7 basis in the Ministry of Health and ASKİ laboratories came out clean, and announced that today's latest sample results also confirmed that the drinking water meets all quality parameters.
The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) responded to claims that the increasing complaints of diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea in the city are due to the mains water. In a statement from ABB, it was emphasized that according to the analysis results of the Ministry of Health and ASKİ, there is no adverse situation threatening public health in Ankara's drinking water.
RESPONSE TO EPIDEMIC CLAIMS WITH REPORTS FROM ASKİ AND THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH
In response to recent claims in some media outlets and on social media that 'the cause of diarrhea and nausea cases in Ankara is the mains water,' the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality issued a written statement. The statement indicated that the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate and ASKİ General Directorate conduct coordinated inspections and analyses 24/7, stating that the water is continuously monitored.
"TODAY'S ANALYSIS RESULTS ALSO CAME OUT CLEAN"
In the statement made by ABB, it was noted that all measurements and analyses confirm the quality of the water, with the following expressions: 'The drinking water supplied to our citizens in Ankara is continuously monitored as part of regular inspections and sampling work carried out by the Ministry of Health Ankara Provincial Health Directorate. In addition, the water supplied to the network is analyzed and monitored in real time, 24/7, in the laboratories of ASKİ General Directorate.
The results of the inspections conducted by the Ministry of Health and the analyses performed in ASKİ laboratories show that there is no negativity threatening public health in the drinking water supplied to the network across Ankara. The latest analysis results received today also confirm that the drinking water meets all quality parameters.'
"RESULTS ARE SHARED EVERY MONTH"
At the end of the statement, it was reminded that water quality analyses are regularly shared with the public, saying: 'ASKİ General Directorate, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, continuously monitors drinking water quality and shares the analysis results regularly every month on our social media accounts and our website.'
