Millions of pages of new documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice have unveiled an unknown aspect of the Jeffrey Epstein case. It has emerged that Epstein, who was found dead in prison while facing charges of sexual abuse, was engaged in intense behind-the-scenes diplomatic traffic to reach Russian President Vladimir Putin. It appears that Epstein sought the assistance of high-ranking Russian officials as well as former Norwegian Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland for this purpose.
It has emerged that billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being accused of establishing a network for the sexual exploitation and prostitution of underage girls in the U.S., had made attempts for years to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
MILLIONS OF DOCUMENTS PUBLISHED
More than 3 million new documents published by the U.S. Department of Justice as part of the Epstein investigation revealed that Epstein made efforts to establish direct contact with Putin through various channels. The documents included information that many high-ranking Russian officials corresponded with Epstein.
SEARCH FOR CONTACT THROUGH FORMER NORWEGIAN PRIME MINISTER
In Epstein's private emails, it was seen that he tried to arrange a meeting with Putin through former Norwegian Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland in the 2010s. It was noted that these attempts continued intermittently until 2018, but did not yield concrete results.
CORRESPONDENCE WITH HIGH-RANKING RUSSIANS
The Justice Department files revealed that Epstein had contacted figures such as Sergey Belyakov, a graduate of the Russian Federal Security Service Academy, Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska known for his closeness to the Kremlin, and Russia's former Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vitaly Churkin.
NO RECORD OF MEETING WITH PUTIN
The files emphasized that despite all of Epstein's efforts, there was no official record of any face-to-face or indirect meeting with Putin. Although Putin's name appeared over a thousand times in the documents, it was stated that most of these references consisted of news clippings and media summaries.

Epstein, who was accused of sexually abusing numerous girls under the age of 18, including one as young as 14, and establishing a prostitution network, was found dead in his cell at the New York Manhattan Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 10, 2019.

The disclosed case files mentioned the names of many well-known figures such as Prince Andrew, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Ehud Barak, Al Gore, Kevin Spacey, Michael Jackson, David Copperfield, Alan Dershowitz, and Bill Richardson.
