President Erdoğan, who came to the area for the 8th Ordinary Grand Congress of the AK Party, addressed 60,000 people. Referring to the CHP's claims of a "questionable congress," Erdoğan stated, "We have come this far without any doubts. We have strengthened the bridges of hearts with our nation and conducted our own self-assessment. We say Bismillah as we enter a new era."
President and AK Party Chairman Erdoğan addressed 60,000 people gathered in the area before his party's 8th ordinary grand congress.
Referring to the CHP's "questionable congress" allegations, Erdoğan stated, "We have come this far without any doubts. We have strengthened the bridges of hearts with our nation and conducted our own self-assessment. We say Bismillah for a new era."
Highlights from President Erdoğan's speech are as follows: "I greet you with respect and affection. You have come from all over Turkey, from Edirne to Kars. You did not leave us alone on this happy day. With your love and enthusiasm that could not fit in the halls, you turned Ankara into a festival of democracy.
I sincerely thank you for honoring our congress and for your loyalty. May God make this love everlasting. As members of a movement that has AK in its name, we are proud and joyful today. We successfully complete our congress marathon with our grand congress. We have brought our party to these days in a brotherhood climate worthy of the AK Party, without fights, noise, and most importantly, without any doubts. We have strengthened the bridges of hearts with our nation and conducted our own self-assessment. We say Bismillah for a new era.
Seeing the participation in front of me right now, I praise my Lord. Look at this beauty, this participation. The soldiers of this cause do not care about the cold. They do not care about snowstorms; they continue on their path. Our goal is to find a place in the hearts of the people and to be worthy of their prayers. I ask you to preserve this vision and understanding. I want more effort from you than ever before. Dear young people, are you ready to fully embrace the sacred trust you have inherited? You will connect Turkey first with the vision of 2053 and then with the vision of 2071.
My dear sisters, the cornerstones of our AK Party, a movement without you can never achieve success. A struggle that does not have the support of women cannot succeed. You will carry this cause, which you have woven for 24 years, to much greater heights.
I asked how many participants are outside, and this participation outside is 60,000. Thank God, we do not care about snowstorms. I trust you. I am infinitely grateful to my Lord for granting me companions like you.
I do not want to keep my brothers in the hall waiting any longer. Soon, we will have a long conversation in our congress speech. May God be our helper. May our congress be a means of goodness for our country, our nation, and our party. I express my gratitude to each and every one of you."
