INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED ON SERIOUS CHARGES
The official statement from the Ministry included details of the investigation conducted against Erdal Beşikçioğlu. In the statement, it was emphasized that the judicial process continues within the scope of the charges of "Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes, Corruption in the Performance of an Obligation, Corruption in Public Institutions and Organizations' Tenders, Extortion by Force, Embezzlement, and Accepting Bribes."
REMOVED FROM OFFICE FOLLOWING THE ARREST DECISION
It was reminded that within the framework of the investigation, Beşikçioğlu was arrested by the decision of the Ankara West 2nd Criminal Court of Peace dated 02.08.2026. Following the decision, the Ministry of Interior took an administrative step in parallel with the judicial process.
TEMPORARY MEASURE PER THE CONSTITUTION AND MUNICIPAL LAW
In the statement, the legal bases of the suspension decision were also highlighted. It was announced to the public that Beşikçioğlu was suspended from duty by the Ministry of Interior as a temporary measure, for the sake of the investigation, pursuant to Article 127 of the Constitution and Article 47 of the Municipal Law No. 5393.
