EU: Industrial Production Down 1.3% In November 2019

Eurostat says highest annual rise in industrial production recorded in Hungary, with largest decline in Greece.

Industrial production in the European Union dropped by 1.3% in November 2019 year-on-year, the bloc's statistical office announced on Wednesday.

"In November 2019, compared with November 2018, production of intermediate goods fell by 2.3%, capital goods by 2.1% and energy by 1.5%, while production of non-durable consumer goods rose by 1.8% and durable consumer goods by 1.9%," the Eurostat said.

Among member countries, the largest drop in industrial production were registered in Greece (-8.3%), Romania (-7.5%) and Estonia (-7.2%).

"The highest increases were observed in Hungary (5.7%), Poland (5.6%) and Finland ," it added. -
