The theologian writer Ali Rıza Demircan, in his article regarding the end of the Currency Protected Deposit application, stated, "As a result, we directed hundreds of thousands towards interest, made the rich richer, and enriched the banks. Our country has also become an interest-based country. Our nation felt the pain deeply," reminding us of an article he wrote in 2021.
The theologian writer Ali Rıza Demircan wrote a striking article in Mirat Haber regarding the end of the Currency Protected Deposit application.
Demircan, who stated, "I strongly opposed the establishment of KKM. I wrote an article titled 'Our Nation's Savings Should Be Directed to the Stock Market' and hosted a program on Akittv," added, "But I couldn't make them listen. The KKM, created to bring the dollar, which had risen to 18 lira, back down to 10 lira, went bankrupt about a year and a half later."
"WE DIRECTED HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS TO INTEREST"
Demircan also mentioned, "In other words, when KKM reached 3.2 trillion, and the paid and to-be-paid exchange difference rose to 210 billion, and the dollar increased to 27 lira with a twofold rise, the government put an end to it.
As a result, we directed hundreds of thousands to interest, made the rich richer, and enriched the banks. Our country became an interest country. Our nation felt the pain deeply," sharing his article published in 2021.
Demircan's article from 2021 is as follows:
"I read our esteemed teacher Hayrettin Karaman's article titled 'The Remedy for the Inflated Money Market.' Our teacher discusses whether the money to be given due to exchange rate increases in the New Currency Protected TL Time Deposit accounts is interest or not, citing some valuable scholars, and concludes that the additional payment is not interest.
Our teacher, please forgive me, this effort is futile and is more likely to cause material and spiritual harm than benefit.

We criticized and will criticize, but we will not allow him to be consumed by those who oppose our beliefs and life standards. We will not allow it, but we will also fulfill our duty to "call to what is right and warn against what is wrong."
TURKEY IS A SECULAR STATE TRYING TO DEMOCRATIZE
The Republic of Turkey, with its Constitution, has turned into a Jacobin secular state that criminalizes the effort to direct life in any social field such as education, law, and economy by perceiving Islam as a way of life.
We partially democratized this exclusionary, othering, and oppressive Jacobin secularism, which our nation did not internalize with its faith and wisdom, through the Imam Hatip generation during our 19 years in power, but we could not direct it towards Islam. Although we did many important but superficial things, we could not make revolutions that would evoke Islam. Could we have? Perhaps we could have started from one end.
Since we could only manage our country, which is integrated with the West, by following the path of those who worship the West due to a lack of knowledge, personnel, and experience, we made significant mistakes, especially because we could not reform the Debt-Based Money System and Interest-Based Economic Order.
WE COULD NOT ESTABLISH THE CENTRAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY
Although it currently owns most of the shares, our country has not yet transformed into the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, which can print its national currency. This is why the credit given to the cruel and exploitative banking system in exchange for the 241 billion Turkish liras printed by our bank is 4.2 trillion. A significant portion of this credit consists of non-financial reserve money, and even the interest on this money is being extracted from our nation's blood.
Only one-third of our country's external debts belong to the state, and the amount allocated in the 2022 budget for the payment of the interest on these debts is 240 billion. The external debt interest to be paid, including the private sector, will be three times this amount. In other words, our poor nation will pay two billion in debt interest every day. Internal debts and their interests are a separate disaster.
INTEREST AND FOREIGN CURRENCY STRANGLEHOLD
Due to borrowing in foreign currency and the interest being paid, we have entered a stranglehold of interest and foreign currency. Moreover, due to our increasing effectiveness in the arms industry and foreign policy, the outside world has also started to come down on us.
While interest rates in the world start at 0.25, the Central Bank's policy interest rates, which is currently the interest rate applied by the Central Bank to banks, is fourteen percent (14). The interest applied by the cruel banking system to which we entrusted the economy is around twenty-five percent. In such an economy, can expected investments be made?
If you look at the discussions in our country, you would think that interest rates have dropped to three percent. Our people, who have been accustomed to high-interest rates for a long time and have been hit by the economic blows after our President's calls to exchange their gold and foreign currencies a few times, rushed to the dollar this time, and the known events occurred.
SO WHAT WAS DONE AS A SOLUTION?
So what was done as a solution? The new Currency Protected TL Time Deposit application was initiated. In other words, the mistake made with capitalist logic was repeated for perhaps the hundredth time, directing our nation towards banking. While claiming to oppose interest according to Nass (Quran and Sunnah), we led millions of our people into sin by directing them towards interest. The banking system will now continue to extract our nation's blood by converting the deposits to be invested into at least fifteen to twenty times reserve money and collecting interest on the loans it will provide. Moreover, we raised the guarantee for deposits invested in interest to 200 THOUSAND lira. The trend is not good.
WHAT ARE WE DOING, INCLUDING OUR TEACHER HAYRETTIN?
As theologians led by our teacher, what are we doing? We are discussing whether the exchange differences to be paid to the system we should be waging war against are interest or not, and we are indirectly supporting the current application. It is shameful/sinful.
Is it our duty to clean up the filth of the "Debt-Based Money System and Interest-Based Economy"?
Okay, the country is ours; let’s produce solutions. What we should do is to show exit paths like the "State Supervised and Supported Stock Market System" that we presented to the attention of our President and Minister of Finance.
If searched, many exit paths can be found.
WE HAVE NOT GIVEN UP ON OUR BROTHER RECEP TAYYIP
We supported our brother Recep Tayyip as a person who is committed to our values. In our opinion, with his current staff, he could not be protected from this cruel system that requires the conscious support of the majority of our nation, and indeed he could not be protected and could not protect himself.
In the last five years, I have written dozens of articles that guide me, but I could not announce them; I still criticize, but—only and only because I act in line with my faith—I do not give up on my brother Recep Tayyip. Because there is no alternative intellectual and practical development that will give us hope in the points we criticize him. So why should we sacrifice our brother, who is with us in spirit?
Let’s not sacrifice him, but let’s support him not by approving his mistakes but by proposing what he should do.
