The Mayor of Şehzadeler, Gülşah Durbay, who was undergoing cancer treatment and was intubated at Manisa City Hospital, has passed away. Durbay will be laid to rest tomorrow in Manisa.
Sad news has come from Gülşah Durbay, the Mayor of Şehzadeler, who has been receiving treatment for colon cancer at Manisa City Hospital for a while.

It has been learned that Gülşah Durbay has passed away at the hospital where he was being treated.
WHO IS GÜLŞAH DURBAY?
Gülşah Durbay, the Mayor of Şehzadeler, was born in 1988 in Manisa. He completed his education, which started in Manisa, at Hacettepe University in the Department of Food Engineering in 2011 and at Yaşar University in the Faculty of Law in 2024. In addition to completing his master's degree in the English Business Department at Yaşar University, he also started his doctorate in economics and finance at Manisa Celal Bayar University.
In his professional life, he held various managerial positions in the food sector. Gülşah Durbay, who provided consultancy to companies on food safety, occupational safety, quality, and strategy, served as the President of the District Youth Branch of the Republican People's Party in 2014 and held the position of Provincial Youth Branch President for two terms between 2015 and 2020. He was elected as the Mayor of Şehzadeler in the local elections on March 31, 2024, becoming the first female Mayor of Manisa.
Shortly after taking office, Durbay announced to the public that he was fighting colon cancer and continued his treatment while carrying out his duties during this process.
