The suspect in the murder of Alihan Bülbül, who was found dead with gunshot wounds in front of a mosque in Erzurum, was apprehended and arrested six hours later after cartridge cases from two separate incidents were matched. It was determined that Bülbül had 32 criminal records, while the suspect had 19.

Those who saw a person lying on the ground in front of the Hüseyin and Sıdıka Güllüce Mosque in the Kazım Karabekirpaşa neighborhood of Erzurum reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

LIFELESS BODY FOUND IN FRONT OF MOSQUE

Upon the report, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. During the investigation, it was determined that the person, identified as Alihan Bülbül (32), had been shot in the head with a firearm and had died. A pistol was also found next to Bülbül's body.

While police teams took extensive security measures, Bülbül's relatives fell ill.

The body was taken to the Erzurum Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy after the prosecutor's investigation. Meanwhile, it was learned that Bülbül, who was married and a father of two, had 32 records for various crimes.

MURDER SUSPECT FOUND THANKS TO EMPTY CASINGS

After Bülbül's death, teams launched an operation to capture the suspect and found 4 empty casings at the scene.

Approximately 2 hours before the incident, in an event where T. A. was wounded with a firearm (50) in front of a tea house in the Kurtuluş neighborhood, 2 empty casings had also been found. Deepening the investigation, teams determined that the casings were of the same brand.

Assessing that the perpetrator of both incidents was İ.A. (40), teams captured the suspect while he was hiding in his aunt's house approximately 6 hours after the event.

After police procedures, the suspect was taken for a health check and then referred to the courthouse under security measures, where he was arrested by the judge.

Bülbül's body was also buried in the New Asri Cemetery following the afternoon prayer at the Narmanlı Mosque.

Additionally, it was learned that İ.A. had 19 criminal records, was involved in an incident with Bülbül last year, and there was a feud between them.
