A fire at a car parts manufacturing factory in Daejeon, South Korea, resulted in the deaths of 10 people and injuries to 59 others. While authorities continue search and rescue efforts for some missing individuals, South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min-seok issued an emergency directive to the Ministry of the Interior and the National Fire Agency to utilize all available equipment and personnel.

Ten people died and 59 were injured in a fire that broke out at a factory producing automobile parts in Daejeon, South Korea.

According to a report by the Yonhap news agency, officials made a statement regarding the fire that broke out yesterday at noon local time in the factory in Daejeon.

THERE ARE SERIOUSLY INJURED AMONG THE VICTIMS

Officials noted that there were 170 workers in the building at the time of the fire and announced that 10 people lost their lives in the incident. They stated that 59 people were injured, some of whom are in serious condition.

SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS CONTINUE

Officials mentioned that there are some missing persons and expressed that search and rescue operations have begun in the building.

"NATIONAL FIRE MOBILIZATION" ORDER ISSUED

The National Fire Agency had issued a "national fire mobilization" order in cases where local governments exceeded their firefighting capacity following the fire.

EMERGENCY INSTRUCTION FROM THE PRIME MINISTER

South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min-seok also issued an emergency instruction for the Ministry of Interior and the National Fire Agency to use all available equipment and personnel to extinguish the fire and carry out rescue operations.
