The body of 30-year-old Kübra Yapıcı, who was found dead in the Bucak district of Burdur after going missing in Antalya, was laid to rest in the Ekinözü district of Kahramanmaraş. Her grieving father, Yunus Yapıcı, said, 'My daughter is not someone who borrows money, nor is she someone who gives money. From what I've learned, some people who were homeless and penniless, whom I didn't know before, were involved. But the one who organized them is that woman, the woman named 'Derya.' That woman misled us.'
Kübra Yapıcı (30), who was taken to a forest in Burdur by Ata Berk Sezen and İlyas Umut Dalğar on the grounds of debt, killed, and her body burned, was laid to rest in her hometown of Kahramanmaraş.
Her father, Yunus Yapıcı, who could not reach Kübra Yapıcı, living in the Serik district of Antalya, after 02:00 on April 30, applied to the Serik Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Following this, police investigation revealed that Kübra Yapıcı was sitting at a café with Ata Berk Sezen and İlyas Umut Dalğar at 03:30. İlyas Umut Dalğar, who was taken into custody, stated in his interrogation that they took Kübra Yapıcı to a forest in Burdur with Ata Berk Sezen, shot her with a gun due to her debt, and then buried the body. Dalğar further stated that they later exhumed Yapıcı's body, burned it, and threw some parts into dam waters.
2 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Following İlyas Umut Dalğar's confession, Ata Berk Sezen was caught and detained in Istanbul, while teams found body parts during a search in the forest. DNA tests confirmed that the parts belonged to Kübra Yapıcı. After procedures, Kübra Yapıcı's body was handed over to her family. İlyas Umut Dalğar and Ata Berk Sezen were arrested, while Kübra Yapıcı's body was brought to Maarif Merkez Mosque in the Ekinözü district of Kahramanmaraş. The ceremony was attended by the Yapıcı family, AK Party Kahramanmaraş Deputy Mevlüt Kurt, Ekinözü District Governor Muhammed Huzeyfe Onur, Ekinözü Mayor Harun Vicdan, and many citizens. At the ceremony, father Yunus Yapıcı wept beside his daughter's coffin. Kübra Yapıcı's body was laid to rest in the district cemetery amid tears.
"THESE ARE AN ORGANIZATION, WHO ARE YOU FOR HER TO BORROW FROM YOU"
Meanwhile, grieving father Yunus Yapıcı demanded the harshest punishment for those responsible for his daughter's death. Father Yapıcı said, "Punishment is not enough for these people; I demand their execution. At least they should introduce a special death penalty for those who commit femicide or child murder, so such filth does not walk around. No one raises children for nothing. A child is not killed for money. They go, plan for a month, try to transfer money to their own IBAN, and have the phone activated in Istanbul. They failed. A person is not killed for money. These are an organization. Who are you for her to borrow from you? That child is not broke to borrow from you; they certainly took from her. She is not one to borrow, nor they to give money.
"THE WOMAN NAMED DERYA ORGANIZED THEM"
From what I learned, some people who are hungry and penniless, I didn't know them before. But the one who organized them is that woman, the woman named 'Derya', I assume. I knew from the beginning, she has a hand in it. But becoming an informant after being caught doesn't count. That woman misled us. Where are they? She said, 'They went to Istanbul 4 days ago, they are not here.' When I found and showed the footage, she said, 'That's what they told me.' She constantly misled us so they wouldn't be searched. Therefore, the woman definitely has a hand in it. She is the one who organized them. Because the woman worked with her. She knows her IBAN, so she must have learned the password too. She worked with our daughter, then got her fired, and then started this plan," he said.
