In Eyüpsultan, Istanbul, the father of Timur Cihantimur, Dr. Bülent Cihantimur, who is alleged to have caused the death of 29-year-old Oğuz Murat Aci by hitting him while driving at the age of 17 in 2024, filed a criminal complaint with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against some lawyers who allegedly defrauded him of approximately 15 million 800 thousand lira with the promise of lifting the judicial control measure against him. In the criminal complaint submitted to the prosecutor's office, Bülent Cihantimur is listed as the 'complainant' and M.V., G.İ., M.İ., and Y.I. are listed as 'suspects.'

The suspects, aware of the client's victimization, met with him several times and convinced him by saying they would lift the travel ban. The suspects, in a concerted effort, took advantage of the difficult situation and conditions of the client, who was under a 'travel ban' and in a difficult position, deceiving him with the promise that a certain job would be done, claiming that he had 'significant' relationships with public officials, and defrauded him of 15 million 800 thousand lira.

The criminal complaint petition also requested that the suspects' accounts be blocked.
