The leader of the New Welfare Party, Fatih Erbakan, made a surprising statement amid discussions of early elections in politics, listing the parties with which they are keeping the door open for an alliance. Stating that their priority is to enter the election with their own candidates, Fatih Erbakan expressed that they are open to a new alliance to be formed within the right bloc. "WE HAVE NO THRESHOLD PROBLEM"Referring to the visit of Ali Babacan, the leader of the DEVA Party, who is in merger talks with the Future Party, Fatih Erbakan said, "First and foremost, we want to enter independently. We see that the New Welfare Party does not have a threshold problem in terms of vote rate today. The election results showed this," he stated. "NEVER AGAIN WITH THE AK PARTY"Fatih Erbakan, the leader of the YRP, who supported the AK Party in the 2023 elections and entered the local elections in 2024 alone, also spoke about the possibility of reuniting with the AK Party. In response to the question, "Can you say never again with the AK Party?" Erbakan replied, "We can say yes. Because despite our very sincere approach, our sacrifices, and the existence of a consensus signed in front of the nation, all of these were disregarded. This completely shook our trust. Therefore, we do not see the possibility of a partnership from now on," he expressed. "OUR VOTE RATE IS ABOVE 7%"Fatih Erbakan also made statements regarding his party's vote rate, saying, "We currently think it is even above 7%. We had already received 6.98% on March 31." Erbakan argued that a large portion of the voters who did not go to the polls did not anticipate such a breakthrough from the New Welfare Party, stating, "If they had known that our party would receive this much vote, they would have come as well. Now that they see this, I believe our vote rate has significantly increased since the local elections," he said. HE KEPT THE DOORS OPEN FOR 5 PARTIESEmphasizing that their priority is to participate in the presidential elections with their own candidates, Fatih Erbakan stated, "But a 'third way' alternative is always possible in Turkey." Indicating that the parties labeled as 'right parties' by the voters could cooperate, Erbakan pointed to the IYI Party, DEVA Party, Future Party, Felicity Party, and the Great Unity Party for the alliance. WILL HE SUPPORT MANSUR YAVAŞ?Speaking about the claims that Mansur Yavaş, the CHP mayor of Ankara, has been resentful towards his party's management and has contacted the IYI Party, Fatih Erbakan commented on the possibility of a 'right alliance' that includes the IYI Party nominating Mansur Yavaş: "If Mansur Bey's name comes to the forefront, I think he will be the candidate of the CHP. It is a bit early to talk. But as I said, the probability of Mansur Bey being the candidate of the CHP is much higher than being our candidate."
