Journalist Fatih Portakal, who testified as a "person with information" within the scope of the investigation into the Ahbap Association, said: "I expressed my regret. I saw it as a good association, but unfortunately the picture that emerged is sad. We could have questioned more; I feel sorry for myself."
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had summoned Ece Üner, Fatih Portakal, Feyza Altun, Gökhan Özoğuz, and Öykü Serter to the prosecutor's office yesterday to give statements as "witnesses" within the scope of the investigation being conducted against the Ahbap Association. Towards the evening hours, Ece Üner, Öykü Serter, and Gökhan Özoğuz came to the Istanbul Justice Palace in Çağlayan and gave their statements to the prosecutor's office.
FATİH PORTAKAL ALSO GAVE A STATEMENT
Today, in the morning hours, journalist Fatih Portakal came to the Istanbul Courthouse with his lawyer to give a statement as a "witness" within the scope of the investigation.
"I SAID I REGRET IT"
Fatih Portakal, making statements to journalists after giving his statement to the prosecutor's office, said that he told the prosecutor he regretted it and was angry at himself.
Portakal spoke as follows:
"I said I regret it. After all, when I look at the conditions between 2023, I saw it as a good association, but when I look at it today, the picture that has emerged is unfortunately sad. Actually, I am angry at myself. We could have questioned it more; but in today's environment, I feel sorry, I feel sorry for myself, because these people exploited our good intentions."
