The Professional Football Discipline Board has imposed a 3-match ban on Fenerbahçe player Mert Hakan Yandaş for insulting members of the opposing team during the Galatasaray derby. Additionally, many fans from the yellow and navy blue section received block penalties.

The Professional Football Discipline Board (PFDK) has decided on the penalties to be imposed on the clubs due to the incidents that occurred during the Fenerbahçe-Galatasaray match.

3 MATCH BAN FOR MERT HAKAN YANDAŞ

According to the TFF's statement, the board has banned the Fenerbahçe player for 3 matches and fined him 120,000 lira due to his insults directed at members of the opposing team during the Fenerbahçe-Galatasaray derby. Mert Hakan has thus closed the first half of the season. Fenerbahçe Club's Stadium Manager Ali Bozan also received a 15-day ban.

FENERBAHÇE RECEIVES 3 MATCHES WITHOUT FANS PENALTY

Fenerbahçe has been penalized for playing 3 matches without fans due to the ugly and inappropriate chants caused by their supporters during the Fenerbahçe-Galatasaray Trendyol Super League Mehmet Ali Yılmaz Season match held on 01.12.2025. According to Article 53/3 of the FDT, it was decided to block the electronic tickets of the spectators in the Sports Toto Tribunes C, D, E, K, L, M, North Tribunes C, D, E, K, L, M, Marathon Upper Tribunes D, E, F, G, and Marathon Lower Tribunes A blocks, preventing their entry to the next home match.

GALATASARAY ALSO FACES PENALTIES

The PFDK imposed a 15-day ban and a fine of 2 million lira on Galatasaray Club's Vice President Metin Öztürk for his statements made to the media after the derby, which were deemed to undermine the reputation of football and institutions. Serhat Doğan, the match and performance analyst of the yellow-red team, also received a 15-day ban.

The board imposed fines of 3 million 660 thousand lira on Fenerbahçe, 1 million 300 thousand lira on Galatasaray, 220 thousand lira each on Antalyaspor and Göztepe, and 120 thousand lira on Kocaelispor. Eyüpspor's Head Coach Orhan Ak was banned for 3 matches and fined 80 thousand lira for his insults directed at the match referee during the Gaziantep match.

Samsunspor player Joe Mendes received a 3-match ban and an 80 thousand lira fine for his unsporting behavior involving physical intervention against the assistant referee during the Corendon Alanyaspor match; Corendon Alanyaspor's Head Coach Joao Pereira was also banned for 1 match and fined 80 thousand lira for his unsporting behavior towards the referee of the same match.

Meanwhile, it was decided by a majority vote that there was no basis for penalties in the statements made by Beşiktaş Club and President Serdal Adalı.
