In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round, Fenerbahçe defeated Sturm Graz 1-0 away and advanced to the play-off round. Following the yellow-navy team's victory, the UEFA country coefficient rankings were also updated. Turkey ranked 9th with 47.575 points.
In the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round second leg, Fenerbahce visited Sturm Graz at Liebenau Stadium. The yellow-navy team won the match 1-0. Having also won the first leg 2-0, Fenerbahce eliminated their opponent with a 3-0 aggregate score and advanced to the play-off round.
FENERBAHCE'S OPPONENT BECAME LYON
Fenerbahce, who advanced to the Champions League play-off round, were paired with Lyon. Lyon, who lost 2-1 away to Czech side Sparta Prague in the third qualifying round, won the second leg 3-0 in France and were matched with Fenerbahce.
The goals that brought Lyon the victory were scored by Ernest Nuamah in the 20th minute, Ashley Maitland-Niles in the 66th minute, and Tyler Morton in the 72nd minute. In the visiting team Sparta Prague, defender Adam Sevinsky was sent off with a red card in the 34th minute.
FIRST MATCH IN KADIKOY
In the Champions League play-off round, the first match between Fenerbahce and Lyon will be played in Kadikoy on Tuesday, August 18. The second leg of the tie will be held in France on Wednesday, August 26.

After the matches played, the UEFA country coefficient ranking was updated. Turkey took 9th place with 47.575 points.
