In the Çınarcık district of Yalova, Muhammet Baca, who was assaulted during a noise dispute with his neighbors while holding his 14-month-old baby İkra, reported that his 8-year-old son Fatih Miraç Baca was injured by a stone thrown at him while playing in the street. Father Baca stated that he did not witness the stone-throwing incident and mentioned that threats against the family continue. Baca, saying "We are trying to live here under pressure," revealed that he has put his house up for sale due to the violence and pressure they have experienced.

Mohammed Baca, who was attacked in Yalova's Çınarcık district while holding his 14-month-old daughter Ikra, is etched in Turkey's memory with the moment he embraced his bloodied baby.

THE HEART OF ALL TURKEY ACHED

In the incident that occurred on February 20, Mohammed Baca had applied to the gendarmerie after arguing with his neighbor Servet Ergin. At that moment, Baca, who took his 14-month-old daughter Ikra from his wife who came to the door, was attacked by Şener Ergin with a stick. During the attack, Baca's nose was broken, and little Ikra was also injured, suffering three cracks in her skull and an injury to her eye.

While the gendarmerie teams who arrived at the scene struggled to separate the fight, the injured father and daughter were taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.

ONE ARRESTED, THE OTHER RELEASED

After the incident, Şener Ergin, one of the suspects taken into custody, was arrested, while Servet Ergin was released after the prosecutor's questioning. In the prepared indictment, a prison sentence of 3 to 9 years was requested for the attack on the father and 9 to 27 years for the attack on the baby.

THIS TIME AN 8-YEAR-OLD CHILD BECAME A TARGET

While the legal process continues, the family's 8-year-old son Fatih Miraç Baca was injured by a stone that hit his head while playing in the street on March 15. While the perpetrator of the incident could not be identified, the family went to the gendarmerie to file a complaint.

"WE ARE STILL RECEIVING THREATS"

Father Mohammed Baca stated that the process they are going through continues and said they are receiving threats via social media. Expressing that they live in fear after his son was injured by a stone, Baca mentioned that they are under pressure.

THE FAMILY PUT THEIR HOUSE UP FOR SALE

Mohammed Baca stated that social media and physical threats against the family continue, saying, "We are still receiving threats from the same individuals on social media. Our children are scared, we are living under pressure. For example, they have written comments under some of our photos saying, 'If the gendarmerie does not wait in front of your house, you cannot enter your house, you little lapdog.' Individuals we have a feud with have made such posts. Just two days ago, my son Fatih Miraç Baca was hit on the head with a stone again. We went to the gendarmerie, and we made a report again. A tomography was taken at the hospital. We will file a complaint again at the courthouse. Unfortunately, we are trying to live here under pressure. I was at home during the stone-throwing incident as well. I really did not see the incident. When I woke up two hours before iftar in the evening, my wife told me. The gendarmerie had already come. We went to the gendarmerie in the evening and gave our statements. They took notes. I did not see the incident. The child did not see the one who threw the stone either," he said.

After the incidents, Baca stated that they experienced security concerns and announced that they had put their house up for sale, saying, "My children are scared, we will sell our house and leave. We want to live in peace. We no longer have security here."

The investigation and judicial process regarding the incidents are ongoing.
