DIYARBAKIR GOVERNOR MADE A STATEMENT ON THE ISSUE

Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu came to the front of the building where the incident occurred after the fire. In his statement here, Governor Zorluoğlu said, "A fire incident occurred in the office building in the Talaytepe neighborhood of Kayapınar district, the cause of which we have not yet been able to fully determine. Following the notification of the fire via 112, all our relevant institutions, primarily the Metropolitan Municipality fire brigade, AFAD, our health institutions, and the police force, came to the fire zone immediately. Each institution began working in its own field of duty. As a result of the efforts made so far, a total of 8 of our citizens were affected by the fire. Three of them are firefighters, and five of them were residents of the building at that moment. All of them were sent to the hospital.

"NO SERIOUSLY INJURED"

Thank God, and I can state with pleasure that there is no one seriously injured. All of them are smoke inhalation cases. Treatment continues at the hospital right now. On the one hand, our fire brigade continues to intervene in the fire. It has been brought under control, and the fire continues on the roof. At the same time, all floors and offices inside the building were checked by our fire brigade unit in case someone might be inside. Of course, it is a building of a commercial nature. It is a building used as offices. Since the fire also broke out late in the day, thank God, currently, within our knowledge, and I say this within the framework of the information given by the fire brigade, none of our citizens remain inside. Cooling efforts are continuing in the fire. May God protect us from worse. I wish a speedy recovery to our fellow citizens of Diyarbakır," he said.

The fire brigade teams continue their cooling efforts in the building.
